The kick off to the 2023 concert season at the Gaslight Social in Casper, Wyoming was full of
energy and excitement.
The show, featuring Adelita’s Way as the headliner, with opening acts, Above Snakes, Moon
Fever, and Otherwise was sure to warm up this crowd after a long, cold winter in Casper,
Wyoming.
The first band, Above Snakes, who originate from Boston, Massachusetts,
started the set with their song, “Nothing to Lose”.
Johnny Skulls, Dax Dabs, Tommy Gun and Bamm Bamm make up this talented group and the
crowd was taken with their unique sound.
By the time they were into their song, “Crash and Burn”, the room was filling up and the band
was getting them ready and primed for the next three bands that were set to perform. They
finished their set with the songs “Down” and finally, “The Broken Ones”.
Next up was the Seattle based alternative rockers, Moon Fever.
The band took no time in going straight into a high energy, loud and hard set. The band, who
have only been together for a year with their current lineup, took the audience by storm with
songs like “Nothing Left to Lose”, and “ Live Fast, Die Young”.
The singer, Triston Bracht, guitarist, Mitch Micoley, bassist, Dave Orton, and drummer,
Troy Wageman, left it all on the stage and left the audience wanting more. This young band is
straight forward rock and roll with a taste of grungy garage meets punk alternative. Their take on
how they give their music to the audience was truly intoxicating. With Bracht jumping the railing
to mosh with the crowd and Orton handing over his bass to the front row, and finally laying on
top of them, these guys know how to engage a crowd and make them part of the experience.
Next up was the band Otherwise, who originated from Las Vegas, Nevada and have been
around since 2012. They are promoting their newest release, Gawdzillionaire, which was
released on March 10.
The band, consisting of Adrian Patrick on vocals, Ryan Patrick on guitar, bassist Sean Fitz and
drummer Joe Conner, is full of energy and hard riffs, with Adrian out in front with such an
intensity, you cannot look away.
They performed songs such as “Die for You” and “Exit Wound”, the crowd was hanging on every
word.
The band finished the set with their hit, “Full Disclosure” and finally, “ Soldiers”
