Different but SAME: Opening Reception

400 E Collins Dr Casper

Saturday, October 24 2026 from 01:30 AM to 03:30 AM

Different but SAME brings together a diverse group of artists whose work explores the many ways people experience, understand, and express the world around them. Through painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media, dance, music, poetry, and spoken word, the exhibition creates space for individual stories while also highlighting the experiences that connect us.

The featured artists bring distinct perspectives, backgrounds, and creative approaches to the exhibition. Their work touches on themes of identity, culture, resilience, joy, transformation, and shared experience, inviting visitors to look beyond differences and consider the common threads that can exist between seemingly different lives.

The exhibition features work by Bruce Cook, Robert Martinez, Ben Pease, Chris Simms, Suzy Gonzalez, Joel Garcia, Jaime Chavez, Sue Sommers, Lena Newlin, Kevin Johnson, James Pakootas, Karli Bruner, Jason Shogren, and Louis Still Smoking, representing a wide range of artistic disciplines. The opening celebration will also include a performance by Scattered Roots, adding a live element to the exhibition experience.
